Dalmatia Wine Expo 2013 opened

Following the first event held on Thursday, 2nd of May, (Wine School at hotel Meteor), the fourth Dalmatia Wine Expo was officially opened on Friday in the tent that was set up at the Makarska city beach.

In his opening speech, one of the festival organizers, Zoran Paunović accented that this year’s festival provides the best overview of the enological wealth of Dalmatia. This was shown by the Theatre of Dalmatian Varieties, a new side event that provided visitors with a unique chance to see the comprehensive presentation of approximately 30 different Dalmatian varieties. Speaking on behalf of the host, the City of Makarska, the event was officially opened by Mayor Marko Ožić Bebek who said that Makarska will be proud to celebrate the 5 year anniversary next year and praised the organizers for the novelties they introduce each year. Director of the Tourist Board, Jure Brkan, also expressed support for the festival.
